If I can't find the original owner, and maybe even if I find the original owner, I'll keep him.

I have to try to find the original owner though. If my uber ever went missing I'd have a nervous breakdown.

Can we see a pic of uber?

I love cats.

I rescued a 3 legged cat once. It was amazing. I think it thought it was a dog. It looked like a little lion.

The Saga of Sick Kitty (Was: Today, I found a half-dead cat)

I found a newborn kitten once that had been abandoned by its mom. It was listless and shivering, but it was alive.

Grabbed the first cardboard box I could find, googled “animal shelter” and drove off to try and save it.

The first place I went to turned out to be the pound, and they turned me away. I knew that each minute it took to find someone who could care for the kitten lessened its chances of survival, and I think I cried as I drove. The second place was the shelter. I handed them over my kitty and made them promise to call me once they’d stabilized its condition.

They contacted me later that day to say they’d put the kitten to sleep. Said it was dehydrated and suffering. Whatever. I don’t think they tried very hard. I wish I’d just gotten some kitten formula and cared for it myself.

That was a sad day.

Hope your kitty makes it, Uber. You're doing a good thing.
