Me, Col P and Erawk got huevos y frijoles y cafe con leche at cafe con leche on milwaukee. Great hangover breakfast.

Cafe con Leche has long been my hangover go-to place. The nachos are the only disappointing thing there.

Beer+wine+beer+pack of nicotine. Edit: oh, and a big-ass sugary mojito somewhere in there. Gah.

I'm pulling out of hangover land, now. I made myself a skillet breakfast (veggies, potatoes, cheese with two over-medium eggs on top, served with two kinds of hot sauce) and watched Star Trek: TNG for a couple of hours.

I am 32 years old.

Not hungover but it sure as hell feels like I am after last night's ordeal.

Got a hitch in my neck and my shoulders are still tense.

Living in the comfort of one's usual surroundings it's all too easy to forget how shitty it feels to be stranded, even for a mere five or six hours.

Still!

I did help an incapacitatedly drunk homeless man find his way to the "T" last night - that killed twenty minutes, and it made me feel reasonably good and less useless. And then there was Nick, a just-out-of-jail 27-year-old who I shared a couple hours with. Nick was "chipping" to cope with the anxiety he felt being released into the world all of sudden, and also to ease the discomfort of having to brave the elements and sleep outside. He said he was planning on checking into a clinic on Monday. I told him that sounded like a wise idea considering his options.

Hangover cure of all cures is Pho soup. I swear by it!!

I have noticed though, the Pho soup with beef if what really works. Some owner of a Vietnamese place I go, said that real pho soup is the beef pho.

It is a magical healing food.

It is six in the evening where I am and I still haven't shaken the hangover. I didn't even drink all that much last night, but the intensity of my Johnnie Walker Red consumption after some beers seems to have shaken me up. Last night was a straight up ruckus, more wild than I've gotten in a while. At one point I must have been naked because my underwear was on backwards this morning. First time I ever actually can't remember everything I did last night. Haven't heard from anyone today so I can't really piece together my evening.

I never get a hangover if I drink water after I finish my last drink. Just a glass or a bottle. I thought this was common knowledge.

It's 5.54am here. My finace went to bed at 1.30am. I'm now developing a 'waking hangover' which I think is worse than waking up with one. Just a feeling of creeping death that can only be sated by more of this beautiful white port i've been drinking. Thank fuck I don't have to work in 1 hour 4 minutes.
