They aren't fleas, but the cats do itch. We have had to take them to the vet like 3 times.
The vet says it's not mites, it's some kind of fungus or something but I think it's mites since the fungus medicine dosen't work.

I know some of this is to be expected ina basement apartment and I can deal with all of it but these gnats are pissing me off.

I have covered up the drains but it dosen't seem to help. I leave the windows shut and theya er still there.

They are like the gnats that appear if you leave some fruit out too long, those little black fuckers.

sounds to me like there is food out somewhere, maybe something rolled under the fridge or way back in a cabinet or something.

check out the baseboard to see if any pieces have shrimp hidden behind them.

That cat does have a habit of stealing food when you turn around.

those are fruit flies and it means you are dirty.

if you have a garbage disposal, put two lemons down and gobble them up. remove any food on counters. put out small bowls of vinegar daily, which they will be drawn to and it will kill them.

be vigilant. wash your ass.
