Got to play a 1948 Gibson L7 today at a garage-sale. The seller wanted $16,000, so I had to pass on it. She also had a silverface '67 Bassman with a non-matching single 15" cab. Both for $500. Is that a good deal ? The Bassman was almost mint. I have the option to grab it next weekend.

Assuming nothing has been modified, that '67 silverface is basically a blackface inside. When last I checked, Fender was building them the same way through 68 or so. It doesnt affect the ability to sell it for better money, but sound-wise it should be a real deal.
