I bought a couple of Neve 1081 channel strip knock-offs from a group buy at PSW/REP. They were ridiculously cheap, and needless to say are faulty from new even though they haven't arrived yet and will need to be modified. Thank goodness for cheap Chinese labour and dodgy design copying skills.

I have an ESP LTD on layaway. Should be out next week, since today was payday and I have five eBay auctions ending tomorrow.
Nick Greer has offered to custom wind some humbucker pickups for me. (for a reasonable fee. Very reasonable.)
He was also working on a line driver to allow me to have guitar players in the control room playing into distant combo amps without line degradation. However, he used some old-school parts he had lying around, then showed me how it would act as a signal booster and the overdrive was so FUCKING sweet, I said "You have to sell me that prototype." He said "You can't have this one, but I'll make you one. As a line driver, though, it's kind of dirty. You'll probably end up with one of two of these in the world."
You have to hear that pedal. It sent shivers down my spine. So nice.
I am stalking a Sunn Coliseum 300 bass head. Guy was asking $250 for it. I've heard conflicting reports but that it's the same head as Entwistle used. I have also heard that they sound AMAZING. We'll see. For that price, how could i say no?
I am trying to talk Nick into loading up a bunch of his pedals, a bunch of his amps and guitars and driving to Chicago so you Electrical/Kuma's guys can heard the stuff. Maybe make a trip to NYC for Vockings and PWalsh (and other NYC peeps) to hear them too. I could use a little vacation anyway.
Anyone interested?

Those MXR delays are nice -- I'd drop 150 on one without too much hesitation.
I love my old DOD, but I dont know how easy they are to come by.
So nice.

Hey bros, sup? Are those Danelectro Baritones worth the money?
Looking at this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-Danelectro-Bar ... 286.c0.m14
(Not sure if this is a crappy reissue of a better product?)
I used to have one of those Fender Jaguar Baritone reissues and wasn't particularly impressed...

I have a Morley Echo volume but about every 2 weeks I have to open it up and re-align the sensors and LEDs just to keep it working. It also eats two 9 volts in about that time.
Other things are:
Another 500 GB HD
New Graphics card (fan says RRRRRRRRRRRRR when my CPU starts up.)
Ubuntu 8.10
...Oh, and a root canal.

A friend of mine had that guy and the Flanger of the same family. I liked them both. I hardly ever see any of the first Gen. DOD stuff around. Ross either. Ross stuff is great.
