There isn't any hum from our two at electrical. My Furman at home has a little hum, but it isn't in ear-shot of anything important.They probably have some noisy transformers out there. I would complain about it to them. Hopefully they would repair it for free, especially if you bought it recently.

Kinda (way) off subject but meh, I have had good luck using a pair of fair quality ear buds and a pair of those rifle-man style ear protection muffs for recording in loud environments when you need to be able to hear.you don't even need to turn them up very loud since the protective ear cage kicks the shit out of the rest of the sound in the room.Sorry to break in with Tape Op style ghetto-muff science.Resume discussion about the Furman System.

I did always find it wierd to see Electrical using the Vic Firths almost excusively because i've never been impressed with how they sound. But on the flipside, I have found them superior to any others for isolation.
