After seeing Punchdrunk's luridly OTT avant-theatre production The Masque Of The Red Death in Battersea a couple of years ago, I decided that my studio, when I build it, is going to be decorated somewhere between a Victorian haunted manor and a Weimar republic nightclub. I would have voice pipes instead of an intercom, an apothecarys shop, secret passages galore, and when you got your multis back you'd always find one track had been erased and replaced with 'spirit voices'.
