converge is not crap.
jame doe is great. you fail me is great. some of the older stuff that my friends were into before i "got it" is good. i have a split converge/hellchild 12" that i like a lot.
when they are on tour my band has been using kurt's studio to record our new album. we are probably the most un-metal band to record there. we are forever in his debt.

the singer is the most boring singer I've ever seen ! his vocal performance on record are far far better

I'll have to say crap.
It's so fast/tight/crazy that it's almost boring to me. It doesn't really surprize you anywhere, you know what's coming... to me, it doesnt matter how fast you're playing, repetition is still boring.
I guess my judgement could be skewed since I was introduced to them from kids who only really liked them because people who never heard heavy shit would go "How can you like that ?!? It's like sooo fast and just screaming!!!"
Which of course makes them feel so awesomely hard.

Odd thread, of a band we stick in the Metal section.
A band that i would have written off on the dumbass kids that buy it alone.
I'm really suprised so many of you guys like this.
Betcha Mayfair thinks it's crap. I'll give it a listen, i have a feeling i already know what i'm in for.

I have spent the past month repeatedly listening to Converge. They're now one of my very favorite bands despite their frequently retarded fanbase.
For those who have just heard Jane Doe, You Fail Me is a worthy successor and in some ways, more interesting.

Totaly fantastic band whos albums keep getting better. The first time i heard Jane Doe it blew my fucking head off. Honestly Converge, Today Is The Day and Isis are responable for making me like metal. 100% not crap!
