I'm a sucker for the voice. Although it does seem to have blown at some point between the third and fourth album, hence the Kermit growl. But still, I'll listen to anything he does, though for some records - in fact, most of late - it's not more than once. I kind of appreciate the last one, Circle of Snakes, but I think that has more to do with Tommy Victor playing on it.

Anyone heard the Black Aria albums? Danzig does Bontempi. They're pretty amusing.

Oh, I'm voting not crap, I'm afraid.

Rat traded Danzig lots of comics and vintage toys for rare Misfits records, and their friendship grew to the extent that Rat and his girlfriend made a pilgrimage to visit the great man himself.

This was when Glenn was still living in his parents' house in Lodi, New Jersey. At some point over the course of the weekend, Glenn was in his basement room gloating over the Shogun warriors Rat had brought him from Kentucky. Imagine everyone's surprise when Glenn's fat Sicilian father trudged down the stairs and shouted in his hoarse Jersey dialect, "Hey Glenn! I thought I told you to mow the fuggin' grass! Get out there and mow the goddam yard!" Glenn attempted to explain that his friends (his fans) had come all the way from Kentucky, but Papa Danzig was already on his way back upstairs.

The thought of Glenn Danzig fuming as he mowed his father's lawn, no doubt dressed completely in black, while Rat and his girlfriend played with Glenn's toys in the basement makes me smile every time I think of it.

I thought I told you to mow the fuggin' grass!

I have heard this story as well! I cannot remember where I heard it, but I have re-told it several times. It is awesome.

I cannot take Danzig seriously because he is my height.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures

I assume he requested that day off from the Cinnabon....

Even if this were only an apocryphal story, I would still choose to believe it.

I never liked the Misfits, and that was as close as he got to me as a musician to be taken seriously.

The Misfits were fine, "Mother" is an awsome song, but I haven't heard any one say "blows goats for a living" for so long, I had to quote it.

I was wrong.

I don't think anyone is paying him to blow them goats.

He blows goats for personal reasons.
