Pod is the one for me.

Tipp City though - that's my favourite Kim Deal.

The best constantly found used cd of all time.

I suppose that's why used record stores constantly refuse to buy my copy.

Any Title TK fans here?

I honestly think it's only a little worse than Pod, and a good deal better than Last Splash. I just love that mellow but sharp feeling that surrounds most of the album, and both the electric and upright bass playing on it is really top notch in my opinion.

"Off You" could very well be the band's finest moment too.

I love it only slightly less than Pod, which is one of my favourite albums of all time.

"Cannonball" is a great song, but I don't think the rest of the album holds up. However, it's been a while...

This. Is. Hard.

Two very different albums. Pod is a more "natural" sounding album, much like Josephine's solo stuff, where Last Spalsh is full of feedback and a big layered sound. I love both Jim MacPherson & Britt's drumming, even if Britt didn't like his drumming for it.

So...on a song by song basis, I'd take Pod by a nose over Last Splash just because the songs stand alone a bit more on Pod where Last Splash is kind of a fluid, listen to it as a whole album.

Pod could win because of "Doe" alone. That's also one of my favourite reference tracks for judging the quality of hi-fi speakers. Britt's drumming is just perfect for that kind of song, and I find it hard to imagine another drummer suitable for it.

i'm just happy to see how many people appreciate these records for the beautiful things they are. i guess i'd lean towards _pod_, but more because it was the one that i heard first than because it's superior. the walford factor helps, too, as i'd probably say that's my favorite performance of his besides, well, you know...
