Not Crap. They used to do Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold" live. I don't know if that was ever recorded.

Oh man, I have to hook up my turntable and listen to them again. It has been way way too long. Saw them play at Reckless one time, and it was one of the best things ever.

I've seen them several times, but I've never listened to a whole album. I never thought they were super-awesome, but I always enjoyed them. True story: they opened for Fugazi when Fugazi came through in '95, and then Fugazi played a Scrawl song in their set.
I don't care how large the waffle factor--if Fugazi covers YOU, that earns you an automatic N/C vote.

I saw her buying cat food at a convenience store a few months ago....
I've seen that article. Yeah, that's right--I knew she had a semi-regular solo gig there, I totally forgot she co-owned the place.

The lyrics to "Your Mother Wants to Know" creep me out.

I loved Scrawl, I've got some funny backstage pix of them at the Garage in London I should put up sometime.
Haven't seen them for over ten years now. Nice people too.

When I was 19 or so I bought a Scrawl 7" when I was in NYC for like $2 simply because I liked the packaging. I remember sitting on the sidewalk at the corner of Bowery and Kenmare while opening it. Weird random memory. Anyway, it was the Your Mother Wants to Know single. I still listen to it now and then and get a warm nostagia. I should buy one of their albums.
Not crap

NOT CRAP.
Jesus, tough crowd in here today.
Who voted CRAP for Scrawl? I am assuming you would also vote CRAP to a Mobile Phone that prank calls the winning lottery tickets to you every weekend? Or a fridge which somehow fills itself with exquisite filet mignon every time you leave for work? Or for the band Scrawl? Jeez.
