So Grammy just got married to his lovely girlfriend in Brazil...Being the maximum PRFer that I am my beautiful bride walked down the aisle to Glass Museum, Tortoise and the last "dance" (much to the horror of some of the guests and the DJ) was Good Morning, Captain, Slint.Let's hear what you guys chose! (unmarried couple's "song" welcome)

First wedding's first dance was Satie's first Gymnopedie. Only time in my life I ever learned any kind of dance steps was preparing for that, as it's just about a waltz.I should mention we were lucky to get it. We meticulously planned the music months in advance with the DJ who had been recommended, then less than 24 hours before the wedding his wife called to tell us he was going out-of-town to work his sister's wedding, but that he had spoken to the guy he was sending in his stead and there would be no problem. There were problems. Substitute J had no idea what music we had picked out or even how old we were. Needless to say my $150 deposit was the only payment they ever received. I also am (just) a little ashamed to report that on my way out of that town forever a couple years later I evened it up with a little anonymous petty vandalism.

Pre-ceremony was my sister and my aunt playing a harp duet. Wedding song was Neutral Milk Hotel, "Aeroplane Over The Sea". Had two good friends play "We Belong Together" by Daniel C. on guitar and banjo. There was no formal dancing or anything, the rest of the music during the cermony was our ipod playing a playlist we put together on shuffle.

The Code is Almighty wrote:The wedding party walked out to End's Not Near. Laura really wanted to walk out In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, but then we found out Jimmyfuckingtwohands had already done it, so we went with The Big Sleep's Chorus of Guitars. The song that started immediately as the ceremony ended was Black Cab by Jens Lekman. WE did our first (and only) dance to Who Are You by Tom Waits. I also danced with my mother to Purple Rain. It was pretty creepy. You could have walked out to it, we only played it during the middle of the ceremony, not on the aisle walking. Silly kids.
