I think calling them a Goblin rip-off is a lazy criticism seeing as how they really don't SOUND like Goblin in the least.

That, and Goblin sounded like SOOOO many different things it's easy to say that a LOT of bands sound like Goblin or at least particular Goblin songs

i prefer Goblin if it's all the same.

They got a new record coming out in May.

They are also touring with Orthrelm in the very near future. Start of March? I forget. A show I will not miss.

They'll be coming locally in a month or two with Isis and These Arms Are Snakes. I've heard maybe one or two of their songs, and I'm thinking it might be redundant to get there on time for their set. Is this a bad idea? I can only tolerate so much soul-crushing at once.

also cool: they're playing in LA on Saturday w/ Orthrealm and Upsilon Acrux (at the Smell dowtown).

There's some limited EP just out on Relapse, if anyone cares. I think there are only 500 copies.

In a couple of weeks, I'm seeing Mogwai on Friday, Whitehouse and Cheer-Accident on Saturday, and Zombi on Sunday. If I'm not posting after that weekend, then it's likely I was rocked to death.

So, I'm listening to a Promo of Surface To Air, but I think that the pressing plant fucked up and pressed the soundtrack to Scanners 2 on the disc instead.
