No, i don't. Just me prolly.

Evergreen... The cover alone! Nobody fucks with crocodiles. not even the cover.

S.T. is Echo and the Bunnymen. SELF TITLED. The Grey Cover.

What are you gonna do with the rest of your life?
I'll tell you what i'm gonna' do....make this a solo album and not besmirch the sanctity of Echo und the Bunnyguys.

Not Crap, but highly overrated. I think there are a handful of bands from this same era that were doing similar things and they were more interesting to me- like The Sound (who were way more passionate and aggressive than Echo was) & Comsat Angels (who were intense, arty and dark) These peers to Echo were much better in my opinion and not every frat boy knows anything about them, so you can enjoy them without references to Pretty In Pink, "Mac", and Lips Like Sugar. There's something so run-of-the-mill 1984 college rock about Echo that bugs me. It's like R.E.M. and that fucking Driver 8 song. Don't get me wrong, I love me some R.E.M. and some Echo, but they had mid-career tipping point albums and even earlier some songs on great albums that pushed them into the shit trench.

On the positive side of things, Pete DeFreitas was a superb drummer, the basslines were generally quite good on the first few albums, and the guitar playing was a nice segue between Gang of Four, the Cure and U2. They had more style than early U2, that's for damn sure. And to top it off, they made it a few years without sucking or becoming too radio friendly.... And they didn't hop on the goth-bandwagon like many of their contemporaries did.

Exactly. Dead on.

Good lord I still love this band. Side two of Porcupine is unreal.
