I guess you know the Jesus & Mary Chain, but they nailed this down harder than anybody else.The Velvet Underground don't really seem to be gazing at their shoes, and Spacemen 3 aren't noisy, like someone already pointed out.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dinosaur Jr.'s You're Living All Over Me. Obviously not their entire catalog, but they did tour along with MBV and Sonic Youth for that album for a good reason.I am also a fan of Citrus by Asobi Seksu.

First couple of Bleach EPs - Snag and Eclipse - were pretty good. Tailed off a bit after those two. Here's Seeing.The Hair & Skin Trading Company, good too, although heading into Krautier waters. Their Over Valence LP still works for me.Also,a lot of Flying Saucer Attack's stuff might fit the bill too.

Sonic Youth, and generations of imitators.Also VU, and The Stooges.
