I don't think I have ever played one, and I have to keep up with the rest of the hifi which is no easy task. You'd probably want to go with the Rusty Box into a power amp. I don't think the TS-50b into a 2x12 cab would be loud enough for you guys. You'd end up clipping the amp, and potentially causing early damage to your speakers.

I have to ask, what's wrong with the amp?A non-cathode biased tube amp needs to be re-biased when you replace tubes... otherwise? There's really only one additional thing that can go wrong with a tube amp: the bottles themselves.Yes, they need to be replaced sometimes. But if you're blowing power tubes too often, you probably need to rebias. Anything else that's blowing, speakers, caps, what have you -- that's gonna go on a solid state amp, too.

Ok, I have blown up my last tube amp, they just can't take what my band puts them through, I am sick of amps not working a week into a two week tour... I just got my tax return, I AM GOING SOLID STATE!I have about $600.00 to spend, but I would like to spend less than that. I want good sounding (while distorted) loud and built like a tank...We should start a list of good sounding solid state amps...
