Not sure, but if you have a general idea of what you want you can call them and they'll point you in the right direction.

So, are we just talking "In Theory" or do you have a guitar with a current pickup configuration you are thinking about?

Not sure how close they are tonally, but construction-wise, Fralin (and maybe a few others) make P90s using individual alnico slug poles, instead of the trad screws-into-a-bar-magnet P90 design. No tele-style baseplate though, as far as I know.Similarly, last year's Gibson Les Paul Melody Makers had P90-shaped stock pickups with poles vs screws, too. I managed to get hold of a used pair for use in an Eastwood Baritone/VI....haven't got around to swapping yet, but everything I've heard suggests they'll be a bit snappier with more of the Jazzmaster about them.

They were basically making an overwound Tele copy but didn't get it quite right. It's an AP-6 with slugs instead of adjustable poll pieces. I have one in the bridge position of a 50's Carvin SGB and it sounds a hell of a lot like a TB-500.Interesting. I'm not a huge fan of microphonic pickups but these things definitely look cool.

EGC finally got back to me and WOW I didn't think it'd be $400 for a set of pickups. I think I'll sort through all these other options to find something suitable to my ear.
