Lots of crap stuff from the 'burbs for some reason. My friend started a great one for Seattle:https://www.facebook.com/groups/227080890704005/Kind of want to say "fuck it" to the current Chicago one and start up a new one.The Denver FB group is really active and I've seen some great deals there. Sold quite a few things there myself. It's been way less sketchy than CL.

The reason they do it is to avoid scammers and honestly, it makes sense. If you were to start selling even semi regularly, you'd get paid the second someone pays you. I also think that ebay doesn't really want sellers who only sell like one or two things a year, the same way that Amazon doesn't. Lastly, many ebay scams are done by people hacking little used accounts, which I gather yours is. I can see how it would suck on your end but there are just so many scammers out there that buyers need solid protection in order to trust the system. Or some shit.

Due to some new seller-related rules, my funds are being held until 12/24.Welp, since I pretty much only sell music gear anymore, guess Reverb's getting all my business now. See ya, eBay.Is it eBay or Paypal that's holding your money? I had my money held (by PayPal) at the end of last month, but it didn't end up taking so long for it to be released. I assume that PayPal will hold your money when you sell on Reverb too. With that being said, eBay tried to bamboozle me with the fees. I had a $5 max fee promotion that they applied to a transaction that didn't take place (buyer bailed). Then they charged me 10% on the transaction that did happen. It took 45 minutes on the phone to resolve it.
