Make sure you get the small ball ends.I also went with nickel wound because I like to be nice to my frets.

I think it still has the option to be pretty bright with 250K pots, but a compromise would be 500Ks. There are really a lot of options with the switching. With middle and neck pickup on it acts like a humbucker and certainly gets darker, so maybe a 500K would be more appropriate? I dunno...I like the 250K for me.

Back off a little, and it's a standard 250K pot.

Thanks.I have just always really liked the idea of the Bass VI, but even when I had cash, they were pricey... now that there's the Squier option, well.

I have a red Pawnshop Bass VI. Bought it new in 2014. Love it. Play it all the time.

I played a Squier one today, and hoo-doggy did I love it. Nothing much to say other than that, but man, I enjoyed myself.

I have a Squier VI, which I use as both guitar and bass, at the same time. Splits the signal and sends one to bass amp/D.I and one through my pedalboard and into guitar amp.Works well. But after reading this thread I got an idea: If I add another volume pot(250k) and use it for the middle or neck pickup and add a new output for it?Then I can have a bassier signal for the bass amp AND be able to use the strangle/bass cut-switch for the guitar sounds?
