You could use it plugged in once in a while to charge it but wouldn't have to.

Bigger issue is I guarantee 50% of our shows the battery would be dead or die mid-set.

I have a number of larger rechargeable USB batteries that have a number of USB ports. They are the type that you would use as a external battery for your computer and mobile devices on trips. Using a single battery power supply plugged into a and daisy chain like a one spot AC power plug, would be a lot simpler than dealing with individual batteries. This cable converts USB to 9volt for plugging in effects boxes and comes with a daisy chain or adapters for different plugs for old school pedals (morley) or where you have to use a battery clip to battery clip.http://myvolts.com/Ripcord\_Pledge\_CalculatorThis is a Kickstarter project which was funded a while back and is still active but has had numerous delays. The developers are apparently in the final stages with the manufacturer. Here is a direct link to the Kickstart page;https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/48 ... le/updatesYou can check it out but it appears they are having growing pains getting the project done. But I think there is quite a big demand so one might be optimistic that they will get there. You could also get one of the backup style power supplies they are essencialy batteries with wall style sockets in them. They go from small cheap powerstrip size to expensive large box size units. With these you charge them and then you could turn off the wall current and run on battery. The musicans could just plug in their One Shot style wall plug into it. These are used for computer systems for uninterrupted services in servers and such. Most would provide very long power usage, but I am sure someone with more electrical skills would be able to understand the specs better than I.Small 8 plugs led read out.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RZPK1M/re ... 8127620124Large with 8 plugs led level readouthttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VY12HW4/re ... rd\_w=f0zZa
