They look really expensive, but I found one that had been listed online for months and offered them $150 for it. That tends to work better than email alerts, usually!I love my beat up Tube Screamer. TS-808, stop the hate.

the best sounding analog delay to me is the Morley SLEV echo volume. IT's a fantastic delay. only problem is, when it isn't in DLY mode it is in active (optical) volume mode and it ducks your tone/volume a lot. I have one id have thought about buying another to rip the dly circuit out of to put in a true bypass pedal. Man, it is really the best. if any of you nerds want to look at the schematic and tell me how to modify it ot be delay and when bypassed the volume circuit goes away, I'll buy you a beer.

Add a new DPDT (or 3PDT switch if you need the LED) in its place, wiring the input/output jacks to this new switch and move the wires that were connected to the jacks to the new footswitch as well. Basically like putting a bypass looper inside the pedal itself.Basically what Tony said, but in the pedal instead of another one.

Is it wrong that lately I've totally been wanting an Echoplex? I know they are completely impractical, but I played one recently and I have to say they are pretty rad. There's no wrong in the subjective world of tone. If you are willing to put up with the hassle and cost, go for it!

Thanks for the help. I also will buy someone a beer for the correct info. Cant say for sure, but that album was recorded in 1976, which is the same year the EHX Memory Man was introduced. That's about the earliest commercially viable solid state delay there would be, so my hunch is that he's using a tape unit. Maybe beer?
