Alister Parker had a tremendous sound! I got to see Bailter Space a few times. There was some show in Boston back then at the Mid East, a little 150 person club, and he had a Marshall 45 watt half stack, a silvertone twin twelve and I think a third combo amp? Had a big, complex sound without seeming “too loud” if that makes sense.

And yeah he always had that weird Rick 360 with the headstock that was slightly sawed off at the end, I recall?
He was definitely playing 2 amps when I saw them, and though I wouldn’t bet real money on it, my memory is a super reverb and an AC30. But yes, huge sound without being door blowing loud.
It’s charming how you guys were impressed it wasn’t too loud. I’m pretty sure my tinnitus was partially caused by seeing them multiple times in the 90s in New Zealand where they were just shockingly loud. They had a rep for overloading PAs and blowing amps.
