Some names just strike me as cool sounding: Didier Drogba, Vida Blue (who had a team-mate named 'Blue-Moon' Odom - chances?).
Also, some names are perfect for their sport: Bronko Nagurski, Chuck Bednarik --- these dudes sound like they are made from NJ Road Base.
