I've been using supper in place of dinner for a good while now. Also a fan of taking constitutionals and calling a refrigerator the "frigidaire" or "ice box" to memorialize my late great-grandmother.

One I never cared for: "in back of" for "behind". I guess it makes sense. We have "in front of". I just don't like the sound of it.

We have that "On a horse" or "I'm on a horse" phrase here in Croatia as well.
