Roundhouse is a really solid Lp, their third best me thinks, but I'm not crazy about the recording (it sounds weirdly subpar for an Iain Burgess. Or was it Brad Wod?)

The debut is good too. Mel's.

Clincher and toast have their moments.

Is the other one Charles Bronson?

mmm, not really. I did go to high school in Sycamore with Jon Arends, the bassist in Chuck Bronson. I was thinking more of Blatant Dissent, Tar, Shorty, US Maple...

Heh, my girlfriend and her sister were in that band.

Mental fanboy for this band. The drudge, the sludge, the repetition, the power.

I find the artwork is somehow goddamn gorgeous too.

Have LP version, its still affordable enough on the discogs.

for all of you who enjoy watching Mike drum, he will be taking part in the following show:

https://www.ticketweb.com/event/intonat ... eatkitchen

Mike, FM Faiz, Tony Jones (the 5th TAR) and I will be performing as Wire.

All of the money goes to Intonation which is a tremendous program promoting music literacy in Chicago.

we haven't practiced yet but I have been assured that we will be very good.

Hearing Toast for the first time rn. Hey, this isn't bad at all. Made me think of that band which isn't Cop Shoot Cop but which I discovered simultaneously with them and which sounds the same synaesthetically to me. There are two words in their name I think and it starts with a D maybe? Can't remember. But yeah them, and a bit of Shellac as well. Good music, in any case.

I thought it was going to me more crashy and clangy. I like it better this way. I love this kind of drum sound.
