Ticks me off I've never heard anything I like by this band. Their stoner stuff seems too "fast" for my doom/sludge wheelhouse damnit

Yeah they seem to me to be closer to skater punks than metal heads, which can be good or bad depending on your taste. I feel like there's enough sludgy 'desert rock' stuff already.

This band is fine, and if it comes on a playlist, I’ll listen, but I agree with the assessment that the intersection between thrash and doom doesn’t always work for me.
