I am not ok with this. What is the point of buying a band’s shirt if you are knowingly not supporting the band? To let people know you like a cool band? Not trying to be antagonistic but it seems silly to buy a band t-shirt unless it is to help the band keep making their music or travel or support them for music they made previously in some way.

Money or no money, any business conducted on behalf of the band without them knowing is manipulation and a huge NO.

13I used to make my own t's back in the day, would just stencil, one color. I don't have time for that now. I buy boot shirts but only bands than no longer exist and do not have merch available otherwise.
Usually use Etsy for them. I have found some real quality stuff there.

Re: AliExpress Bootleg Band Shirts
14As much as I love music I never felt like wearing bands t-shirts. Dunno why.
I understand it's somehow cool to wear a Jesus Lizard tee.
But at the same time I find it stupid.
But I also find a lot more stupid to have the Nike logo on a tee.
The problem must be me.
A friend gave me a bootleged badmotorfinger tee when I was 16. I appreciated that gesture. The texture of that fabric was lovecraftian to say the least and after 1 session of washing machine 75% of the letters on it disappeared. That was kinda funny.

15Only acceptable if you get it in an alley outside of the venue from a sketchy guy, and the design is suitably aesthetically challenged.

20I like that it looks like some bland bedroom from a Pier 1 ad.
