TRUE. That producer is a real piece of work, and they were actually (momentarily) convinced that Janie's Got a Gun was a Beatles-level masterpiece.

First band I was ever really into. Toys was either the second or third record I ever bought. Lost interest after about 1984, but their 70s/early 80s stuff is near the top of that type of bluesy rock.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were among the top ugliest men in rock and roll back in the '70s. And Steven Tyler is the last person on earth who should be talking about a dude looking like a lady, though maybe that was the joke?

Didn't have much use for this band in the '70's, so I certainly don't now. But I feel like I maybe understand a little bit the people who still like them because I work with some, and they are still into this stuff...
