Super underrated choice out of the first 4 albums. Also my top pick.
It really is a masterpiece. I am going to put it on when I get home now. Laundry, tidying, and Morbid Angel

I saw them tour for BATS in ‘92 and they were fantastic. Holy shit that was a long time ago

H is a disaster and with piss-poor production to boot. G is to a large extent a slow, sludgy type of record in the vein of "Blessed are the sick" (the song) so if you dig that aspect of their sound, it's pretty cool except that Steve Tucker is no David Vincent. F was the first album with Tucker and is one of those "reaction against sell-out accusations"- records; many fans thought Domination was too wimpy and that the band was over after Vincent quit so this is pretty much a muscle-flex and their most "brutal" album. I like it quite a bit but again, the vocals are too dry and the songs lack the catchiness of the Vincent-era records. Anyway, none of those albums are crucial listening but both F and G are perfectly functional and enjoyable for the fan IMO

I think it's the worst record they've made by quite some margin. Yes, worse than Ilud...whatever, which is at least an interesting listen. (Not a good album, but there's variety there and a few mildly ripping DM tracks amidst the frankly bizarre and outdated 90s electronic / industrial influences).

F and G are good records w/ great moments but the magic is missing.

Blessed... is also one of my fav records of all time but it has a weird rep in the metal world where many of the trve fans hated the tempo variation and instrumental interludes. For my money it's astounding ambitious and the musicianship is awesome - Sandoval played those songs without a click track, straight to tape, if I'm remembering correctly...
