I had heard that Tonic Room changed owners. Good for them! Old spot was weird and populated with burgeoning Lincoln Park chads and trixies. My band played there once with a side project from FM Evan/MPLSTV. I'm totally intimidated that I'm playing in concert with such an incredible drummer, so intimidated that I decided to bash harder to overcome any lack of musical sensibilities. We were loud as hell. Stupidly loud. Literally drove everyone out of the bar. They were watching from the sidewalk. Hilarious! Another friend who occasionally plays with Dungen played Tonic Room all the time with a Ween tribute band. I left Facebook months ago and currently have zero intentions on returning. However, I discovered Sexual Jeremy via one of the most reliable and cultivated music pages there. I miss that group. So much great content and interactions with folks.
