Past that...

You know when you hear the The Carpenters version of "No Place Like Home For The Holidays..." around Christmas and want to drive into a telephone pole because you found out that they recorded all of those songs at once but released that album after Karen died?

These guys might just talk you off of that particular ledge...

Really? You ever spin Slade In Flame? So good.

I wondered if Heartbreakers count as glam. I suppose that's a clear vote for yes they do.
I'd say The Heartbreakers we're firmly in the early punk camp.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.

Yes, I know the Slade catalogue from their glory days. IMO they are underrated (generally remembered as one hit wonders / novelty band status here in the U.K.), but while they had a great stomping, almost maniacal sound they rarely had the songs to back it up. I think the Sladest comp is miles above the albums.

Heartbreakers are not glam, but you can get a moderate Thunders fix from the Dolls oeuvre - still, why have moderate when you can have the excess of L.A.M.F.?

Prime Alice Cooper Band rocks so hard that I completely forgot about them in this context, but they are indeed glam and are indeed awesome. I still think I'd just about give Roxy my vote, but that may be out of sheer misguided euro-trash faux-sophistication as it's hard to argue w/ Killers.
