If you have a food or drink item that is only (reasonably) splittable by a utensil (e.g. knife), but no such utensil is available, do you just not take any of the item?

i feel like this might be a trick question in a silly attempt to expose some sort of inconsistency in my argument.
i'll bite though. in this scenario, i'm going with what i want to fucking drink, and it better be a proper old fashioned or a nice glass of bourbon, neat.
