Don't plan on leaving it in there all the time, but after some recent losses of gear (Bikini Kill's Rickenbacker, etc), I'd like to have something to put with (or in the control cavity of) my TB2000 when flying. Would likely take it out once actually at the destination, but definitely a little paranoid about it getting stolen, or just lost by an airline.
I have an Apple air tag hidden in the case of my guitar when traveling. It obviously won't do anything if they remove the guitar from the case but it gives me some comfort.

I suspect that the moment there's a better solution to an Airtag, smart thieves (the ones who'd check for an airtag) will be on to it. I'm guessing it's a bit like bikelocks, in that if someone wants it, and knows what they're doing, they'll get past it, but the more you spend, the finer the "filter".

I'm willing to bet most people who steal guitars aren't gear nerds.

I'd stick it in the control cavity for travel and remove it before use, maybe. Honestly though, anything important to me, I would try to keep away from air travel. The stories of airlines smashing people's valuables, killing their beloved pets, etc - with no repercussions - are too many.

Looking for a simple-ish attenuator/load box that I can use w/ my Bassman and have a line out go to a power amp. This Weber thing seems like a simple way to do it, but if there are any other recommendations would like to see them!

I have two of these:

https://www.bugera-amps.com/product.htm ... Code=P0BV1

They work great, 120 bucks. I haven't compared them to a fancy reactive (instead of resistive) load box, but those are way more money. These work just fine, my amps sound like my amps, and more importantly I can play them at a reasonable volume.

Yeah, that one seemed fine to me for what I want.

I'm assuming no issues if I don't actually hook up the speaker output and it just ends up being a dummy load?

Looking things over....
The PS1 POWER SOAK is designed to be inserted between your tube amp and your speaker cabinet. Just run a speaker cable from the output of your amp to the corresponding PS1 Amp Input jack that matches your amplifier’s operating impedance (4, 8 or 16 Ohms), and run a second speaker cable from PS1’s Speaker Output to your cabinet. Power up your amp and dial in your favorite sound, then adjust the large Soak knob to the ideal volume level. All the tone, without all the volume – it’s just that easy!
To me, it seems like it might not just work as a dummy load. Feels like it might need to have a speaker hooked up.

Can't find a gut shot, but it's probably just a big wirewound rheostat acting as a voltage divider. You'd still need a load.

It sounds like what you want here is the ability to run just the preamp of your bassman out to a power amp, without running any of the power section? If its not a super precious pristine amp you could always modify the second speaker jack to be a switched jack that disconnects the preamp from the power amp and gives you a preamp out signal. Like a "slave out" on some older amps.

Or you could find yourself an Alembic F-2B, but that's more than a load box.

I'm 99.999% sure you still need to have a speaker hooked up. You can turn the output all the way down to nothing, I'm not sure if this affects the line level out or not, I'll try and check later today.
