"Epic" sounds like an RHCP throwaway that Keidis deemed too annoying.

There's a Beavis and Butt-head clip of them watching that video, and Butt-head goes, "I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers."

Epic would have sounded like old Faith No More if Chuck had done it. Instead you got Mike Patton mimicking Keidis (isn't he always mimicking someone?), which apparently incensed Keidis and ignited a decades-long stupid petty feud between the two of them.

I am not a Patton (or FNM) fan, but you really can't level that accusation at him since
Angel Dust. I'd say he's one of the most mimicked vocalists of the 90s (it's him, Anselmo or Layne Staley) IMO.

Angle Dust. There was something there with the arrangements and samples the was very unique. I have been listening to it since it came out when I was a kid and it's the only Faith No More album I can listen to all the way through. All the other albums I just listen to a few tracks from time to time.

A perfect example of a group that just kept evolving and getting better album by album even though their earlier stuff is more popular. I love pretty much all of Angel Dust and the next two. I saw them on the Album Of The Year tour (opening band: Limp Bizkit) and they were great. Patton was in full lounge lizard how-ya-doin-tonight-Phoenix mode and sang the hell out of every song like a pro.

I really like the first two. I don't like the Mike Patton era at all. Aside from the War Pigs cover. Also, fuck every single Mike Patton project/band.

KFAD and Angel Dust are my favourites. I enjoy the Chuck Moseley era stuff too but Patton is the reason I got into FNM.
I was massively into FNM and Patton side projects in the early 2000s. Following all of Pattons side projects helped me discover a lot of music over the years that i might not have got into. (I got into Jesus Lizard through Tomahawk, got into jazz through John Zorn etc...)
