6FS did make the mistake of making records after John MacLean left, so point against them for that I suppose?
Still waiting for straight house heat from John MacLean. I'm curious about everything he's done post-6FS, and I haven't heard all of it, but his tracks and mixes have never hit me in the sweet spot that house music does so well. "Can't Let Go" from Peach Melba comes pretty darned close.
I agree! The JM records are all...fine? I can appreciate that he was like "Fuck playing guitar, I'm into this other thing and I'm gonna have a go of it" - and has really kept with it!
Also, I've never heard this Peach Melba cut, but I am VERY MUCH DIGGING IT.
Back to 6FS -
Pigeon reissue showed up a few days ago. Not their best by any means, but I still have a soft spot for it (
"WHEN LARRY GETS HOME"). Hope this means the other records are due for reissue soon.

Never listened to 6FS, but sure as shit will now.
But I sure do love brainiac. Their final EP is an all time favorite.

Seconded.
There's nothing else in the world like "Draag".

SFS!!! Debut kicked my then noise-rock loving ass and the more post-punk follow-up was even better. Never heard anything after that but Brainiac never did a damn thing for me (see also Girls vs Boys) so I feel secure in my vote

Love love love Severe Exposure so I gotta vote 6FS. Brainiac never did it for me, but I can see the appeal. I'd probably like it if I dug in.

Evenly matched. I remember specifically NOT liking that last Braniac EP....kind of a bid for the nascent "electro-clash" market if I remember, but it's been while. Both great live.

Severe Exposure kicks major ass. Can’t get into the other records though. That quote about Chrome above is totally accurate and exactly the reason I like it.
Bonsai Superstar and Hissing Prigs are both excellent records.
I guess two is better than one. Voted Brainiac.
