Don't you remember this one?

no, this is the first blast beat in a Disney film

That has the cover art for the second Samhain record, but I don't hear a blast.

Looks like a teenager havin' fun. Doesn't necessarily need to "feel it", maybe she's just goofin around. I'm ok with that.

This song makes Avril Lavigne sound like My War side 2.

The whole thing is fake poop: the music, the vocals, and the controversy. On the bright side I’m sure it’s pissed off some neckbeards so yeah. But that doesn’t exactly improve society.

This is the right take.

To my great shame I am now aware that Ms. Rodrigo is the FilipinX Hilaria Baldwin...specifically 1 grandparent was from there, but she reps hella hard considering. That's cool though, as outside of Joey Santiago (actually Filipino), I don't think the wonderful Filipino people get too much exposure in the music arena. Also she is 20 years old. You are still too male to judge though, so you can abstain.

I listened to the song and I don't get the target audience here, It sounds like it should be for the Disney set, but it's a curse a minute. Was Avril Lavigne this foul mouthed? Whatever, I'm sure it's a big success, and anything to keep me from hearing about Taylor Swift is appreciated. The scream reminds me of something, but I'm not sure what yet. What I can promise is that these kind of Emmy bait type things have been groomed to fuck, so the "off the cuff " nature of it is no doubt well planned.

These dudes were Filipino, and definitely not manufactured.

If you're an actual singer and came up through choir, drama club musicals, or some other level of professionally-trained you likely have been taught that putting your voice into distortion/overdrive is a no-no. There are all types of scary stories about this. To me, this sounds very much like someone not used to and maybe a little scared of screaming and pulling herself back just shy of screech/growl/whatever. Doing it this way, she won't ever have to worry about developing nodes on her vocal cords, especially trying to grind out one take after another of the live take of a song.

Beyond that, song sounds like someone trying to pull back from a Disney image, or her agent/manager thought it would be a good idea to have this written for her, IDK. Better this than a Playboy shoot I reckon.

Whether she is a manufactured commodity or not, overall the internet sucks and needs to give this person a break. Maybe I'll feel differently when she's selling out arenas or maybe she's already at that level. Who cares.
