Laziness is so underrated. It's in fact considered bad.

If I were crazy rich I'd just do nothing. No need to buy expensive houses or cars. Just relax. And probably travel.

Absolutely prefer going to see a movie by myself; my partner doesn't really like going to see movies anyway, and I've gone with too many friends who have forgotten you're supposed to shut the fuck up watching a movie in the theater. At least I feel more comfortable telling boomers to shut the fuck up (happened at a matinee Oppenheimer screening last summer!).

I used to love to sit in the Northern Arizona University Cline Library and listen to records on the library turntable. I always felt like I got more out of it by listening to it onsite, rather than checking out the records and bringing them home. Lots of great jazz and experimental records in that library. Milton Babbitt, Ornette Coleman, Conlon Nancarrow, John Cage…I spent hours in there.

Amen. Every time I walk out of my local library with books for my kids, a novel for myself and a DVD of a film I wanted to see and the cool ass, friendly security guard guy gives me a wave. The people at the desk are these awesome dorks who just love knowing shit and helping people find things. That's what I pay my fucking taxes for!

Neil Young Landing On Water - Neil himself refers to it as "a one legged turkey" but for me it's the best and hardest rocking album of his Geffen period. Yes, the production is brittle and crappy and the synths dated but the songs are great. Highlights: Hippie Dream is a devastating portrait of Crosby at his lowest, Touch The Night is built on a rock solid riff, and the obliquely personal closing track Drifter is a hidden gem. Plus Neil made four hilarious videos from this record that are worth tracking down.
