Also their 7" records featuring covers are rad." Voodoo Chile" and "Venus in Furs" are particularly great.

So not crap. Love all their records except for Scars (I think Unlistenable is great though). Tulip, Lurch and Miracle would be their high points for me, truly formative records. Praying praying praying they come to the Uk to tour.

Liked them. They had their own sound, and it was a good one. Not crap.
Bozeman MT contemporaries of Silkworm. I'm sure we played with them? I saw them a few times back then and into the 90s.
Tulip is the best of the records, I think.
Unlistenable album was a response to their label not allowing them to cover the entire Cars debut album for their next release.
So they did the Unlistenable tracks, plus a few Cars covers for good measure.
It was rejected out of hand by the label, and they got dumped.
Several years later, they released it, after the rights reverted to them. Patience is a virtue!
