In case you need variation, we watch WildKratts for free on Youtube (tons of full episodes on there), Shaun the Sheep on Netflix and some Pink Panther and Pals for free on Youtube (this one has some animal abuse, dog kicking etc, not great though the dog often gets the last laugh, but is otherwise good updated throwback-style cartoon hijinx).

My son is also into this channel on 3D modelling of objects/machines/buildings/processes, good for the builder/engineering types:

And we've done Dinosaur Train and Go, Dog, Go on Netflix in the past, both decent to great.

N/C 0 waffles for the intended audience. My peers who are parents adore it for not being annoying and for the positive ways it explains things to kids.


I have friends who are childless adults watching it, buying the swag. I don't get the appeal for that demographic. An extension of 00's twee maybe? "Comfy" as an aesthetic choice? Goes well with SSRIs?

There are few beautiful nods to depression Bandit is going through and then there are the times he over does the playing. And hangover episode!
But yes, it does set impossible standards. It also inspires kids to use their imagination and possibly even us parents to step up.

This was actually stung and got me thinking how I talk about people. Like I'm fourty soon and here I go talking shit about people over a TV show. I don't actually think that one person is soul-less sack of shit.
