Nine songs on the album and twelve of them are hits. Drums sound fantastic.

There are tiny little late 70s production bombs here and there, but that doesn't detract from the songwriting and general overall production.

It kinda is a perfect LP.

All time great album, and one of the best fully formed debuts ever. I kinda don't really care about any other Cars album, but I think that's fine.

"Just What I Needed" is my go to karaoke staple.

This still kinda blows my mind, especially when you compare the number of familiar singles Candy-O and Panorama.

Love David Robinson’s playing. Former Modern Lovers drummer, but also was in this aggro garage punk band DMZ, who also had Jeff Monoman Conolly of the Lyres. That DMZ s/t record is not crap.

i think grow men never know what i am .. it isn't on purpose or malice, it's my existence .. remember when jessica rabbit says she's drawn that way? well God did that to my personality.. he gave me this tiny little body and then curves.. petite and then lady body

soon in a few years i will be the 40 year version of myself and I'm going to have long hair my Italian silk still dark chocolate brown and i won't be curvy i kinda planned on being tiny like highschool .. i kept pushing my body for curves except in my 40s i want my little body so i can get a diamond belly button ring .. maybe breakfast at tiffany's got to me with thinking diamonds are tacky before 40 and something about my body with my diamond makes me feel like baby yeah this is 40s .. it seems like fun
This.

Love that DMZ record! And Lyres - On Fyre is great. Excellent live band.

I remember picking up Candy O a few weeks after it came out, and to this day I think I've listened to it front-to-back six times, maybe. I'm not really a Cars fan, so maybe it just missed me (except for Let's Go). From ST to Candy O was only one year...

One of those things I recognize is good and other people like, but never really landed for me. Maybe a bit too well-mannered.

Love it, think it's perfect. "Just What I Needed" has been my favorite song for as long as I can remember.
