Yeah the age of consent in the UK is 16. Also legal to marry. I've long thought age laws are strange in their disparity.

In the UK:
Have sex or marry - 16.
Drink alcohol - 18.
Vote - 18 in England, but 16 in some elections in Scotland.
Pay adult fare on a bus - 14, though there are some concessions.
