Yes, I believe that's what actually happened. He left them mid-way through a tour and they got the GVSB drummer to step in. He's gotta have some kind of issues going on if he's willing to up and leave his bandmates during a tour. Who knows?

I don't know much about the guy except that the one time I saw Don Cab. I got the impression that he was a dick?

From what I remember hearing, he just up and walked out of their show at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA.

Yep, Damon Che is a total asshole. Don Cab played in Milwaukee a few years ago (American Don tour), and he was trying to pick a fight with some guy he knew in the audience. A friend of mine was standing right next to him (my friend was also in the opening band), and he chuckled at Damon being his usual dick self. Damon heard this, walked right up to the front of the stage where my friend was standing, and spit right in his face.

Complete dick.

There's a couple new Bellini songs on their myspace page. Big shoes to fill w/ Damon gone, but still damn good of course.

I want to add that he didn't just get up and leave the concert, he also took the band's van and drove it home (to Pittsburgh or whatever).
