I love it when singers from the states start using phony british accents when they sing...especially when it's misappropriated to the point that they use it in their daily "non-stage" speak.
One day, the Warlocks came into my shop, and the singer was totally using a British accent...he's from L.A. I couldn't help him look for anything because I was afraid I'd start laughing at him.
A Pittsburgh friend of mine once said that the Don Cab song "Alot Of People Tell me I have a Fake British Accent" is about a guy they all knew it Pittsburgh, who in fact had a fake British Accent. Genius!
Regardless, Radio 4 suck...they're terribly boring...this thread is now killed.

indeed. if i'm up early enough i like to give the grey matter a little warming up with farming today, perhaps wallowing in the cozy delights of woman's hour a little later, before settling down to the archers after lunch with a nice pot of tea. t'riffic.

Saw them last nite in Boston w/ Go4. Utterly forgettable. Such a tired worn out schtick. Loved the bongo solo!!
btw- Gang of Four were massive!!

Agreed on both counts. Radio 4 was boring, but I didn't care as Gang of Four completely thrashed me.
The army has its uses in times of civil crisis...
