I found out about his band when I saw them open for the faint a few years ago.

It was quite possibly one of the most disturbing/amazing performances I've ever seen.

I saw this band play live a couple of times and thought they were pretty hot. I have given every single one of their record a shot and can say I was thoroughly unimpressed. I would not say they're crap but I also can't say that, beyond their live shows, they did anything for me.

I saw them open for Girls Against Boys once. I can recall nothing from their set.

I bought one of their records shortly thereafter thinking I'd "give them another shot". I'm sure I must have listened to it before I sold it but I have no recollection of doing so.

I saw them on that tour and thought they were awesome. I then never listened to the "3/5" EP i bought from them.

However, "Inches" is fucking incredible. "The Sweat Decends" has the most explosive chorus i've heard in many a moon.

I should add that even though my previous experiences with this band have been less then memorable, I've always really wanted to like them because I feel like there had to be something I was missing.

I know I'm gonna by Inches now thanks to you assholes.

This band is great. They are super nice guys too. Their live shows are fantastic. They bring it, every single time. Watch the DVD that comes with the Inches CD and you get about 20% there.

The drummer is a good friend. The band played at his own rehearsal dinner which was held on a farm here in Chapel Hill. They played in front of an old barn, somewhat outside, under the stars to about 30 people.
I ran sound through a dinky PA.
They rocked it.
Old people were dancing and the kids were just digging on watching this guy they knew, Harrison, at his "job."
They had never seen him play before. He was just some 30 year guy to them before that.

After that we stood around a bonfire as big as a Greyhound bus, built - I should say "engineered" - by Harrison's step-dad, until early in the morning, drinking beer in the chilly autumn air.

It was one of the best weddings ever. I think the NYC people really enjoyed the bucollic setting. It caught them off-guard. It's hard to surprise people who see bums talking to dead rats every day.

I have run into Tim in some really odd settings. Fitting for a truly odd, but nice guy. The last time I saw him was last Fall in the basement of the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe, of all places, at a secret Gang Of Four show that had an open bar.

These cats have style. Seth is GvsB cool, and about as friendly as they come.

Great band. Amazing live, and the records hold up well too.

They played in Bellingham in late 2001 in a huge room at the college. There around 150 people there for the middle band, Waxwing (a very bad emo band featuring Cody Votolato of the Blood Brothers), then after Waxwing finished, only around 50 people stayed.

While everyone was setting up on stage, Tim walked around offering the audience some of the cookies and brownies from their deli tray.

Throughout the rest of the show, he kept warning people about the baked goods they'd eaten that had LSD, or glass, or poison. It was pretty funny.

They seemed genuinely nice when my friends and I talked to them.

I have a huge crush on Seth. It has a lot to do with him wearing a sleeveless camouflauge t-shirt the first time I met him.

I like their records a lot, and they bring the rock.

They are friends with a lot of my friends, and they are friendly friends. I like people like that.

Not Crap.

Not Crap enough to forgive them for being indirectly responsible for the Williamsburg "scene" - mostly because they never declared themselves a part of it.
