I curently live in Louisville, but will be moving to Ohio in a few months, yet I already miss it here.

When in Old Louisville, stop by the Granville Inn for a bacon cheddar burger, and go with onion rings instead of fries. They're made with a home-made beer batter that's so good it makes me want to stab my grandma in her sleep. Yum.

Eat a couple more...I'm sure you can work up the nerve to do it.

Louisville is such an interconnected, clicky place I would almost use the phrase "its a nice place to live, but you wouldn't want to visit there". At least, unless you know people here who can show you a good time. I can see how it would appear to be less than spectacular to the uninitiated traveler. But you could say that for a lot of places.

This is also true for Atlanta.
When I visited Louisville I went with a group of about ten people. We centered our visit around the skatepark (which is a freaking MECCA, btw) but after we had our fun there it seemed like there was nothing to do in the city itself. Everything was closed on a Saturday night except for this horrible Spaghetti Warehouse type place. We couldn't even find a good bar. I realize there has been a ton of good music to come out of Louisville but as for the city...definitely seems like you have to know a resident to find the good times.

Major Major:

Next time leave downtown when you're done at the skate park. It's a ghost town. And stay away from the god-forsaken 4th Street Live shenanigans. If you make another trip, shoot me or one of the other residents a PM and we'll give you some other stuff to check out.
