Michael McDonald plays a small but significant role in the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin.

I laughed a lot.

This movie was very good. The opening sequence made great use of Joe Walsh's "Life Of Illusion." Awesome.

Michael McDonald

What's Happening!!... -- end of Season 2. The Doobie Brothers/bootleg episode.

"I can't believe you would do this to us, Rerun."

The only thing I remember about this episode is someone saying "You must be a half-brother" to the black Doobie Brother.

Whenever I hear "What a Fool Believes" I feel physical pain. Seriously, I squirm. I think I must have had a traumatic experience while hearing that song when I was a child.

For instance, I used to get very carsick. I can Imagine riding in the backseat of the car when I was 3 or 4, totally sick in the hot california sun, and my dad blasting "What a Fool Believes."

Cheers!

The thing is...

"What A Fool Believes" is golden compared to Robbie Dupree's "Steal Away", which does exactly that to the song "What A Fool Believes" (and also the Pointer Sisters' "He's So Shy"). At least it's fun to make fun of Michael McDonald's voice and lyrics to the former.

More trivia: Robbie Dupree's "Steal Away" was the performance on American Bandstand after PiL's "PopTones/Careering" on that fateful day in May 1980.
"Pro Tools is too California Hollywood bullshit.”
