Does this change in vocabulary reflect any change in US foreign policy or domestic policy? It seems unlikely that the change is anything beyond a stunt to avoid negative perceptions about the 'War on Terror' by giving it a gloss coating.

'Struggle' does, however, accurately represent the movements and machinations required of US troops currently attempted to 'secure' Iraq and Afghanistan.

Perhaps the 'Struggle against Reality' would be a better encapsulation of the Bush admininstration's efforts recently.
