Aerosmith recorded "Rocks". This album is incredible. "Rocks" can be rightfully considered to be among the best rock music albums ever made.

Aerosmith also recorded "Toys In The Attic". This album is pretty good!

Outside of those two albums, Aerosmith has also released a number of singles/album tracks that are good.

In their hands, they took a genre that Gram Parsons sired, and single-handedly turned it into almost complete crap. Shame on them.

Their songs are meant to be morality tales about the excesses of Southern California livin', but end up romanticizing it, becoming popular hot tub cocaine party soundtracks in the process.

They somehow convinced Joe Walsh (not crap, other than being a member of these... E Galls) to become an... E Gall. Wasn't he doing just fine in the James Gang? I don't know the history of the James Gang, so maybe they broke up so they gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. A pity. I still like Joe Walsh, a true rock 'n' roll fruitcake.

The Eagles:

could play their instruments very well
could sing very well
could write songs very well
could make records very well
sounded great on the radio, in a car, or in a bar, anywhere else
got more chicks than Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones put together
had/did more/better drugs than anyone else
were better than Gram Parsons, Wilco, and Palace put together
"After the Thrill is Gone" does more in one song that the entire recorded output of GBV, The Clash, and The Stooges

were the greatest band of all time.
