"Mannequin"- One of my favorite Wire songs of all time. I Love the chord progression; simple, but very effective.

"Mannequin" is the reason I bouhgt Pink Flag.

Not one of my favorites but still very good. I love Wire in all of their incarnations so...

Three Girl Rhumba is probably my favorite from Pink Flag, then Reuters and Straight Line.

Ever heard the story of how that was composed? Colin was on a train trip that should have taken minutes, but took far longer due to some problem on the line, so he devised a system by which the name of each successive station determined the next chord in a chord progression. The result had the same number of beats as that set of lyrics (which came from Graham, I think, though I may be wrong). So there you have the song.

I prefer "Ex Lion Tamer" to "Mannequin" though I like both a lot.

Has anyone here heard the Rollins Band version of "Ex Lion Tamer"?.
I don't like it, especially the way Henry "sings" the chorus.

"Mannequin" is one of my favorite Wire songs. One of the first songs I ever tried covering on my 4 track as a teenage misfit. The other being Devo's wonderful "Mongoloid." Both are still amongst my favorite songs of all time.

I love this song too. When I first heard Pink Flag, I remember that I listened to Mannequin more than fifty times in two days. Awesome !
