If you have mIRC (it's a program) on you computer (you have one of these since you're here (I hope)), then when it gives you the option to select your server (it's the host thingamajigger) and you want to choose freenode (that's the name of the server). Once you're on there, it gives you the option of selecting the room (I hope you know what that is) you want to be in. You want to type in #electrical-audio. Once you have accomplished this amazing technical wizardry, you can talk to me and anyone else who has at least seen the cover of an issue of "WiReD." (I think that's how it's written on the cover)

Mac users, I have downloaded and installed Colloquy, which seems to be working just fine.

I will probably stay in the room for a little while, but it is well past time to shut my eyes.
